Everton are hugely optimistic about attracting investment in the club after successful takeover talks with an American consortium.

John May Moores, who once owned baseball team San Diego Padres, is weighing up his options as to whether or not he should put forward a bid for the club after being granted access to Everton’s finances.

There has still been no official comment from Everton, as a precautionary method due to the process being emphasised as a private one.

But there is said to be a real buzz around Goodison Park, it is reported that the club have been speaking to other interesting parties regarding a possible takeover with interest heightening over the last few months, and a deal with Moores looks to be well on the cards.

With Everton’s secure financial situation and wealth of talent within the side, as well as the imminent megabucks coming from the new T.V deal, it comes as no surprise to see foreign parties considering a move for the Toffees as they believe that the investment would be a fruitful one.

Moores and his colleagues have previously taken an interest in buying into the Premier League, as they were previously linked to a move for Swansea City however it now seems as though their new challenge and focus is in the form of Everton.

If a deal is struck between the consortium and the Merseysiders, Moores and Noell’s immediate priority would be to resolve Everton’s stadium issue and devise a plan than get the Blues into the Champions League.
