Inter boss responds as Everton-linked Petar Sucic future discussed

Everton could be keeping an eye on Petar Sucic’s situation at Inter Milan after previously showing interest in the Croatia midfielder.

Inter reportedly rejected approaches from Everton and Newcastle United for the 22-year-old, who remained at the San Siro. His future has since been discussed in Italy after a limited number of starts this season.

Everton have previously tried for Petar Sucic

Croatian outlet Sportske Novosti reported that Everton and Newcastle both approached Inter over Sucic, only for the Serie A club to block those moves. Former Croatia international Zvonimir Boban has since questioned whether Sučić should remain at Inter if he does not receive more playing time. Inter continue to regard the midfielder as an important player for the future, while Sučić has indicated that he is happy at the club.

He strengthened his case for more minutes on Saturday, scoring the opening goal in Inter’s 3-0 win over Parma before being named player of the match.

Sucic joined Inter from Dinamo Zagreb in 2025 and is under contract until 2030. Reports from Croatia suggest his position could be reassessed if he remains short of regular football, potentially giving interested clubs another opportunity.

Everton’s plans for January are already beginning to take shape. The Blues are considering another move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane after trying to sign him during the summer, while they have also been linked with Rennes striker Esteban Lepaul.

There is no indication that Everton have made a fresh approach for Sucic ahead of January, but for now, one to watch.
