Farhad Moshiri, Everton’s major shareholder has today met with Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson to discuss plans for the new stadium.
This is most certainly a comforting message for Evertonain’s to see, even having the bonus of seeing their enigmatic boss Farhad Moshiri, whose face is a rare but reassuring sight.
Great meeting with Farhad. Still believe a new stadium in 2 yrs is achievable. #COYB ????? pic.twitter.com/hmZmCZFx6s

Talks of a new stadium have been rapidly progressing since Moshiri completed his long-awaited takeover of Everton, and with that, brought a wealth of business experience (Previously being a leading figure at Arsenal) and indeed, fortunes. There have been several locations that have been explored by Everton and many potential sites for stadiums discovered, ranging from the Liverpool Dock’s area (again) to Walton Hall Park.

If we cast our minds back to when Kenwright actually did promise the fans a buster stadium at King’s Dock, we all know how that ended, so this new adventure is most certainly a touchy subject for all of us. Fans still feel as though there’s going to be a roadblock somewhere along the line, they just don’t know quite what that will be yet.
However, Moshiri has also brought with him ambitious and exciting times and has shown that he wants Everton to become kings again. And what a multi-billionaire wants, he usually gets.
