Everton track 24-year-old Zagreb striker after 12 goals in 14 games

Everton are tracking Dinamo Zagreb striker Dion Beljo ahead of the January transfer window.

TEAMtalk reports that Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham have recently checked on the 24-year-old Croatia international. Brentford have also monitored Beljo, who has scored 12 goals in his past 14 appearances.

Everton monitoring Dion Beljo

Beljo has scored 10 times in seven league appearances for Dinamo this season, having managed 38 goals in 48 games last term. Everton are reported to be assessing the 6ft 5in striker’s progress, with January seen as a possible opportunity for interested clubs to consider a move.

There is no indication that Everton have made an approach or opened talks with Dinamo. But David Moyes currently has Thierno Barry as his only recognised senior striker following Beto’s summer move to Fiorentina. A new striker is almost certain to be a January priority.

Everton have been linked with several forwards ahead of January, including Bayer Leverkusen’s Christian Kofane and Rennes striker Esteban Lepaul.

Beljo has also broken into the Croatia senior side and scored his first international goal this season.
